I love Rustic Barn Wedding Photography at Cote How in the heart of the English Lake District. It is, without doubt, one of those intimate wedding venues you just can’t help falling in love with. Cote How is nestled at the head of Rydal water in the middle of the Lake District with stunning views across the lake and fells. The beautiful house and 16th century barn sit ready to welcome you and your guests.
Rustic Barn Wedding, Cote How
Caroline and Steve want to provide you with a wedding experience with a difference so each wedding is tailored to you. They offer an all inclusive wedding experience and a full exclusivity guarantee that you just can’t get in many of the busier Lake District Hotels. Being located in the valley helps to give Cote How Rustic Barn Wedding a secluded feel however it is within easy travelling distance of both Ambleside and Grasmere so there is plenty of accommodation nearby for your guests. You can choose to have a traditional wedding breakfast or a quintessentially English Afternoon Tea.

Cote How Venue Features
Within the heart of Wordsworth’s romantic landscapes sits the house. Across the property are five areas where you can tie the knot. Three of these are within the house. The Wordsworth Room is used for elopement weddings, where Caroline and Steve can act as witnesses for you. It’s also used for intimate gatherings of ten or less. For a larger party of up to fifty guests the elegant Fairfield Ceremony Room is the perfect choice when the weather is starting to get a little chilly. You can also chose to get married in the 16th century rustic barn itself or get married under the eaves whilst your guests sit outside in the sun. More intimate outdoor ceremonies can be held at the gazebo.

Photographing a Rustic Barn Wedding Cote How
Cote How is a photographers dream, right in the heart of the dramatic mountains that make up the Lake District. This gives you the opportunity to get gorgeous atmospheric photos and make the best of the local landscape. The shores of Rydal Water are just a short stroll across the meadow from Cote How with access to the river and the bridge across it along the way.
The grounds of Cote How are beautifully maintained and provide a great backdrop for your group portraits. Caroline and Steve’s no car policy ensures that there will be no cars in the background. This provides perfect unspoiled views from every angle.
