Here is the story of how I became a lake district portrait and wedding photographer.

When my husband gave me my first camera we had been married for just a few months.  We were planning our family.  We discussed how few photos there are of us as a couple, our parents or more distant loved ones and we talked about how we would love to document and celebrate family milestones in the future.  To achieve the images of my dreams I knew I needed to learn to use my camera well and so my journey began.

I scoured the internet, attended training classes delivered by award-winning and industry leading professionals, read countless books and practiced until my shutter finger got sore!  My darling husband was photographed until he got bored (well, more than bored if you must know).  “Why don’t you take more landscape, nature and wildlife images?” my husband implored me.  So I tried, I really did, but if I’m being totally honest, portraiture is my passion.

More than two years on, I’ve honed my craft and my passion to make beautiful portraits, to document smiles, love, laughter and milestones is undiminished.

I just love meeting new families either through weddings or births.  Both are momentous occasions you’ll love to document.  They happen for such a short space of time and once you have these images they will only increase in sentimental value over time.  I would love to help you get the images you dream of.   After all, your loved ones are important, let’s celebrate them today.
