Introducing our Luxury Folio Box

We’re so excited to introduce you to our beautiful, luxury folio box.

So, what’s a luxury folio box?

I hear you ask.  Well put simply it’s a box to keep all of your prints in but it’s not just any old box.  Our luxury folio boxes have been hand selected by us as the best available and will contain carefully selected images you will treasure for years to come.  The premium metallic pewter faux leather of your soft touch luxury folio box comes complete with silver foiled branding and is simply stunning.

Family Heirloom

Designed as a family heirloom you can treasure forever, each box comes complete with up to twenty or thirty images which are  mounted individually.  Each mount is a 14 x 11 inch heavyweight, bevel cut mat which is made from professional archival board.  This conforms to the Fine Art Trade Guild requirements for Conservation (level 2).  Each board is specially prepared to have the right chemical balance to ensure that your prints last a lifetime.

Online Gallery

We know digital images are important to you so each of our premium folio boxes also comes complete with your individually hand-processed, high resolution digital files in an online gallery where you can like, comment and share the images to your hearts content.

Pre-Order

When you pre-order a folio box as part of your booking you will get the opportunity to customise it.  For an additional fee, you can choose a black, soft grey, metallic champagne or even a wooden box.  You can choose to personalise the front of your box with your name and date of your wedding.   Inside, the colour of the mounts can be customised with black, white or cream mounts or a mixture.

One Dress, Two Looks: Autumn Wedding Inspiration Part 2

One Dress, Two Looks: Autumn Wedding Inspiration Part 2

As we discussed in part one of our Autumn Inspiration piece, one of the most exciting things about bridal inspiration shoots is that you can take the same dress and combine it with different accessories to make totally different looks. That’s exactly what we’ve done here using Autumn as our inspiration and one lace wedding dress. Read on to find out about our second look.

Autumnal Boho
The wide lace sleeves of our dress lend themselves to a bohemian look. A crown celebrating the colours of autumn leaves and a checked blanket to keep the autumn chill out. Match this with a tweed jacket and tan boots for the groom for a country inspired look.

Love what you’ve read here. Why not check out the 1920’s styling of our first look in Part 1 or get some detail inspiration to match either of these looks in Part 3.

Are you having an autumn wedding in the beautiful English Lakes?  We’d love to here from you.  Head on over to our contact page to see if we’re free for your date.  Find out more about what we offer as part of our wedding packages.

Simple and Elegant
Using long beads gives this look a 1920’s feel when combined with the simple, elegant silhouette of our dress. Add bright flowers and compliment with the grooms navy suit for the perfect finishing touch.

5 Engagement Photo Shoot Tips

5 Engagement Photo Shoot Tips

Hello, my lovely ladies, here are my top 5 engagement photo shoot tips.  I’m sure you are all aware that many photographers offer you an engagement photo shoot prior to your big day and of course it is up to you whether you choose to have one.  Now, depending on how far away your wedding is, this is a great time to get dressed up, have some fun together and reconnect with a little time for yourselves away from the wedmin.

Its always wise to consider how you would like your portfolio of images to look so I thought I’d share just a few hints and tips to help you prepare for your photographs.

Make-up

Obviously, we all want to look our best and so a little make up can go a long way.  From my own wedding, I can tell you that make-up for camera is heavier than your normal everyday look.  This may give you a good opportunity to use your chosen make-up artist before your big day (a trial run, if you will, without giving the game away to your spouse to be).  Knowing you look good helps you to feel more confident in front of the camera.

Hair

Alongside make-up, your hair can make a big difference to how you feel.  It makes sense to schedule an appointment a week before your photoshoot to make sure your roots are retouched and locks are trimmed and styled to perfection.  Failing this, a good blow-dry on the morning of your shoot can make you feel a million dollars.  I know I definitely fall into this category!

Hands and Nails

Like it or not these will be the feature of a number of shots – it is your engagement session after all!  Moisturise your hands well in the weeks leading up to your shoot and, if you love manicures, grab yourself an appointment to get your nails done.  If you want your images to be timeless go easy on the colour and decoration and stick to beautiful nude and pink shades.  This will allow you to have outfit changes with no clashing!

Engagement Ring

Whether you have a brilliant cut diamond or a cushion cut gem, if you have been wearing (and loving) your engagement ring for a while, the week before your shoot may be a good time to have it professionally cleaned.  Once you get it back, don’t wear it, save it for the day of the shoot for maximum sparkle. This advice also applies to your wedding day!

Clothing

Here is the time to show your personality.  Make sure you are comfortable in the clothes you are wearing.  Don’t go out and buy the latest style only to feel uncomfortable during your shoot.  Your face will tell all.  Much better to wear a trusted, favourite dress (or whatever) that you know you look good in.  This will help you feel more relaxed and you will enjoy your experience much more.  You can, of course, co-ordinate your outfit with your other half for a more considered final look.

I hope you’ve found these hints and tips useful.  If you’d like to know more or would like to book your lifestyle engagement shoot hit the button below.

What to expect when choosing Radiance Photography for your wedding

What to expect when choosing Radiance Photography for your wedding

Let us explain what to expect when choosing Radiance Photography for your wedding.

It’s hard to know what to expect from your photographer if you have not had your portrait taken in a while.  We hope to give you an idea of what you can expect from us in the lead up to your wedding, on the wedding day itself and beyond.

Initial Enquiry

Our work starts when we receive your initial enquiry.  On our contact page we ask you to tell us when your wedding is.  Our first priority is being able to let you know if we are available for your special day.  Answering any questions you might have is important to us.

We will send you a short questionnaire to gather details of your wedding plans and requirements.  We will then call you to arrange a convenient time where we can discuss your requirements in more detail.  Discussing your requirements with you prior to booking is very important to ensure our photography is right for you.

Before Your Wedding

Once you have decided you would like us to photograph your special day we will require a completed contract together with for a non-refundable deposit of £300.00.  This guarantees your booking.

We require you pay the balance of your chosen wedding collection two months prior to your wedding day.  At this point we will contact you to discuss your final image requirements.  If you have planned an Engagement Session, now is a good time to arrange it.

On Your Wedding Day

On your wedding day, we will arrive promptly and work throughout the day to ensure we capture all the details, moments and memories.

Whilst many photographers use a journalistic style, with no posing, we believe a little direction goes a long way in helping you look your best in your images.  Amazing images can be achieved with a few gentle prompts.  We won’t ask you to do anything you are uncomfortable with and we certainly won’t say ‘cheese’!

Your images are captured using dual memory cards, minimising the risk of loss in the unlikely event of card failure.  Before leaving the venue all photographs are backed-up and checked.  Your images will be securely stored in two locations.

After Your Wedding

Following your wedding, your images are prepared for viewing and made available to you via a protected online gallery.  This will usually take six weeks.

We aim to make the whole process simple and stress free leaving you to enjoy this special time.  If you any further questions or would like to see if we are available for your wedding please complete our contact form.
